Our farm is nestled on a 1-acre lot in the middle of the woods. A visit to the farm would include an edible tour, a fun and interactive lesson about healthy eating, and an opportunity to work on the farm (tasks are age-appropriate). Our tours are accessible for PK-8th grade students. Each visit is approximately 2 hours and we can accommodate groups of up to 30 students.
Agriculture is a multidisciplinary field of study that incorporates elements of science, mathematics, social studies and health, among others. We offer 45 minute – 1 hour in-class activities that can be delivered individually or in a series. Our curriculum ranges in a subject matter, including science, math, health and social studies, for grades PK-8.
Farm Tours are available from the beginning of the school year until Thanksgiving and will re-commence in May 2018. The week of September 25 – 29 is a NJ Farm to School week and the month of October is National Farm to School month. During those times, farm tours and agricultural education are highly encouraged and will be shared using social media, including the #JerseyTaste campaign on September 26th. Our in-class activities are available all year round.
Farm Tours are available at $10/student. In-class activities vary in cost depending on the number of session selected. Contact us for more details.
